Product developers and industry training professionals have identified that current training manuals provided with all simulators do not include and explain adequate training procedures.
Shared Vision Group Ltd, in conjunction with a major simulator manufacturer has developed a specific solution training package template creating a user friendly, non-threatening format to meet this shortfall.
This methodology has been labelled the “3 step x 3 step 4 level” training method. It has been designed by the CEO/Managing Director in consultation with the the simulator manufacturers to ensure accuracy and relevence. The method follows the principals of adult learning and steps the training down to the lowest common denominator for ease of learning. This is critical when training new entrants into an industry or cross-training into new equipment.

The system has been developed to enable the simulators to reduce the process of operating the various vehicles and equipment down to easily managed tasks. This may be as simple as:
To tram a haul truck in a straight line forward
- Operator would be in the vehicle in full PPE
- Engine would be running
- Seat belt on
- Appropriate gearing selected
- Operator would accelerate forward
- Navigate via mirror to follow track forward
- Maintain distance from track edge
- At completion of 100 metres vehicle stops
- Resets to start position
- Debrief by trainer
- Redo practice
An example of this method is shown above in representation form where it can be seen that the system does not move outside the precise learning area at any time. The participant is fully focussed on the outcome at hand only and is able to repeat each step as often as required prior to demonstrating their knowledge or skill. The system accomplishes all assessments in each step, after the workbook (if this phase is deemed necessary).
